 The seed for this Tobaccum x Rustica cross was obtained from the Fair Trade Tobacco seed collection and was donated by a forum member. Unfortunately there was no information on which strains of each type were crossed. It breeds true and has definite characteristics of both types. 

 The plant grows to 6 feet in height with dark green leaves spaced up the stalk like a Tobaccum, but with darker green and more Rustica shaped leaves than most Tobaccum strains have. The flower head also shows the characteristics of both types. It rises above the main plant and is more open and spread out than Rusticas, but has the yellow flowers of a Rustica. It reaches maturity and begins blooming in about 50 days, and the leaves began to ripen shortly after. It cures easily to a light brown.

 This is an interesting plant to grow and it is an excellent starting point to make further crosses with other Tobaccum strains to grain the general hardiness of a Rustica and higher nicotine content.
