| Scantic is a a Connecticut Broadleaf cigar type wrapper tobacco developed with resistance to Fusarium wilt and reduced sensitivity to weather fleck. USDA studies showed over a 20% yield increase in comparison to the current wilt-resistant standard, regardless of whether soils were infested with the pathogen or not. Scantic grows to a height of 5 feet producing 10-12 large heavy weight leaves, The leaves range form 15-18 inches in width and 24-28 inches long. The low height of the plant makes it much more weather and wind resistant than many other wrapper strains. PI 6191633 |
