Quadrivalvis is a species of wild tobacco native to the western United States, where it grows in many types of habitat. It is a bushy, sprawling annual herb growing up to 5-6 feet in height. The leaves are small being 5" to 6" in length by 1" to 2" in width. Blooms are a creamy white and appear in only 25 days after transplanting. Nicotine content is said to be quite low.

Quadrivalvis was cultivated by indigenous peoples on the west coast of North America, mostly in southern Oregon, northern California and middle Columbia River drainage of Washington, Idaho and British Columbia. Its seeds were spread northward from its original habitat where and now grows wild in many of these areas.
