Piloto Cubano DR

 Originating from the original Cuban Piloto, this sub strain was developed in the Dominican Republic where it has been grown now for several decades. The plant reaches a height of 5-6 feet with 20-22 leaves densely located up the stalk. It has good resistance to wind and weather. Maturity is in about 65 days with leaves turning a lighter green and yellow. It ripens earlier than other Piloto strains and air cures easily to a light to medium brown.
