| . Piloto Cubano PR Broad is a Piloto cigar tobacco that was developed from seed grown in Puerto Rico. The original seed stock was grower selected in Virginia and grown to produce a consistent height and consistent broad leaves, resulting in a more productive strain. It's ancestry traces back to the early 20th century when the original Cuban seed was brought to the Dominican Republic where is was grown and developed before making it's way back to Puerto Rico. The Piloto Cubano PR Broad strain grows to a height of 6-8 feet at the crows foot and can reach a total height of 10 feet when including the flower head. The plant produces an average of 18-24 leaves reaching 27 inches in length and 14-16 inches in width. Average maturity is 60-65 days. It is usually stalk cured and dried.
