  Okinawa belongs to a class of primitive tobacco, but it is a cultivar in Japan where it was developed. It grows to 7' to the flower and up to 9' in height with light green oval shaped leaves The leaves average 16" wide by 20" long. It blooms in 70-75 days with a creamy white flower. It is resistant to root nodes. The leaves air cure to a light brown.
