Okinawa belongs to a class of primitive tobacco, but it is a cultivar in Japan where it was developed. It grows to 7' in height with light green oval shaped leaves which average 16" wide by 20" long. It blooms in 65-70 days with a creamy white flower. It is resistant to root nodes. The leaves air cure a light brown.
