| Düzce is an Oriental variety once grown in the Düzce province of Turkey, which rests on the Black Sea coast about 120 miles east of Istanbul. It is an intermediate type between Basma and a Samsun types. The plant reaches a height of 4 to 5 feet and produces from 15-25 leaves, averaging 7-10 in width and 14 to 18 inches in length. It matures in 55-60 days. Düzce is usually sun-cured and is useful for cigarette and pipe blending. PI 494152
