  Basma tobacco originated in Greece. It is known for its sweet and aromatic taste. Leaves have a sugar content of 10-12%. It is a tall columnar plant reaching 6" in height. Leaves are sharply pointed averaging 9" to 12" in width and 18" to 22" in length. Plants produce an average of 20 leaves per plant, with a nicotine content of 1%. Matures in 60 days. Can be planted at 16" to 18" spacing.
