American 3 is a large heavy producing oriental tobacco developed in Russia. It grows in a tall columnar form producing 30-32 leaves per plant, averaging 12"-14" wide and up to 20" long. The leaves are a light green, sessile, with a smooth surface and edge coming to a sharp point. American 3 is drought resistant and resistant to disease. Matures in 65 -70 days. Air cures to a light yellow / brown with a nicotine content of 2.7% - 3%.
